Advisory Key - Senior Technical System Analyst / Unix Developer

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze infrastructure requirements (machines, CPU, Memory, required to reinstall business
  • applications on new ecosystem (new network, new tooling, new access management model)
  • Implement required code and configuration change on the business applications to make them run in the new DataCenter environment
  • Deploy application on the environment following a DEV, Test, UAT Production cycle
  • Use best practices to ship high-quality code and continue to push to increase knowledge.
  • Identify and communicate problems with technology and investigate potential causes; suggest
  • Improvements to technology and tools and investigate implementations.
  • Participate in planning and estimation throughout development cycle
  • Be a technology advocate and share expertise with other team members

     

Qualifications AND Skills

  • 3-5 years in Unix Shell script development (Bash/KSH)
  • 3-5 years of general Unix experience (system administration commands, permissions,
  • file management commands -CP, rsync, ls, chmod...)
  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps capabilities E.g. Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, Urbancode etc
  • 3-5 years Experience in SQL and Oracle
  • 3-5 years Experience in IT Tooling (Batch Scheduling, Monitoring, Active Directory/LDAP)
  • 3-5 year Experience in IT Infrastructure Management
  • Details regarding the types of experience required
  • Experience in Agile Methodology.
  • Experience in or understanding of Minimum Viable Product
  • Education, certification and designation requirements (Specify what is required and what is preferred)
  • Undergraduate, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.  Ma or MBA in related field preferred

Daily Responsibilities

  • Analyze infrastructure requirements (machines, CPU, Memory, required to reinstall business applications on new ecosystem (new network, new tooling, new access management model)

  • Unix/AIX/Linux/Solaris (strong knowledge of system administration commands, permissions, file management commands -CP, rsync, ls, chmod.)
  • Shell scripts (Bash/KSH/Perl)
  • Oracle (basic database and PL/SQL skills)
  • Java (basic knowledge)
  • DevOps technologies (CVS, Urban code deploy, GitHub, Jenkins)

 

Must-have Skills

  • Unix
  • Engineering skills to design required technical solutions
  • Ability to speak the technical language of the software developers and IT infrastructure system administrators

 

Nice-to-have Skills

  • IT Support experience
  • Mutual Funds Business Knowledge
  • Good knowledge of application migration from legacy to new infrastructure (replatforming, rehosting)
  • IT Infrastructure knowledge (Network TCP/IP Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Oracle/MS SQL/Sybase Databases, MQ/WebSphere Application Server middlewares,
  • SAN/NAS Storage technologies)
