AbAKUS IT Solutions - 1 Junior & 1 Senior Storage & Backup System Administrators (Level 2/3)

We are hiring 2 profiles one Junior (3 years of experience) and one more Senior (more than 5 years of experience).

 

 

Mission

  • AbAKUS it-solutions mission is to provide to its customers the IT comfort they deserve. The objective is to deploy that state of mind and that quality of services in all aspects of our activities being toward our clients or our employees or partners.
  • In this context, you will be responsible for the system administration and  the adaptation of the customer Storage and backup system.
  • You will have to:
    • Maintain and adapt the configuration of Storage and back-up software and system components (Lifecycle Management)
    • Maintain Storage and backup systems: Incident resolution, Problem resolution, diagnosis of software and Hardware issues related to Storage and back-up systems, co-ordination with third party suppliers as well as with the central It department of the customer;
    • Advise the project team and the customer in areas such as availability management, capacity management, contingency planning, configuration management, replacement/upgrade of outdated equipment/software, and other relevant tasks related to the role and the domain of Storage and back-up;
    • Design and implement Storage/backup solutions;
    • Maintain the relevant documentation/manuals/procedures describing the Storage and back-up systems and their infrastructure of the customer.

 

Profile

  • Education:
    • Bachelor or University degree in It, OR
    • Equivalent by valid professional It certifications in the domain of administration/operations of Storage and backup systems.
  • Language skills:
    • English proficient
    • French is an asset
  • Soft Skills:
    • Open minded, customer oriented, you are also able to communicate very easily.
    • Team work is natural for you while you can be autonomous when appropriate.
    • good listening and communication skills
    • proactive and taking initiative
    • real team player and aware of cross-cultural working
  • Technical skills:
    • At least 3 years of professional experience in the Storage and backup: Hds and/or HP 3par
    • In-depth experience of Storage and back-up solutions,
    • in particular of specific HP and/or Hitachi Storage/back-up solutions, i.e.
    • Good communication skills
    • Knowledge of other elements in the customer's environment (VMware, RedHat Linux, HP-UX);
    • Knowledge of ITIL V3 processes.
