As part of a large-scale cloud transformation program, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer to support the design, modernization, and stabilization of cloud environments within a major energy group in Germany.
Main responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.
- Drive the transformation and optimization of existing cloud architectures.
- Modernize and migrate traditional server-based applications to containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Define and apply best practices for security, compliance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for cloud operations.
- Conduct technical workshops for IT operations teams.
- Collaborate closely with business units, IT departments, and internal/external service providers.
Profile
- Proven experience in cloud operations and administration (Azure preferred).
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and architecture, both cloud and on-premise.
- Solid knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
- Excellent communication and consulting skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Fluent in German and good command of English.
Additional assets
- Microsoft Azure certification.
- Knowledge of database administration (on-premise and cloud).
- Experience with agile methodologies and ITIL-based IT service management.
- Understanding of data protection, cybersecurity, and ISMS requirements.
