About the role
As a Data Engineer, you will become a key contributor within a business-oriented product team, working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and scale modern data solutions. From crafting robust data pipelines and efficient Storage structures to delivering reusable components and integrated services, you'll help transform data into a strategic asset across the organization.

Your mission
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure technologies (Databricks, Data Factory, Functions, DevOps, Stream Analytics, etc.)
- Build analytical models, materialized views, and efficient data endpoints for business users
- Contribute to data enrichment processes using Python in Databricks
- Collaborate with analysts and business users to refine use cases and deliver real value
- Interact with governance platforms (Glossary, Lineage, Quality, etc.) to ensure traceability and coherence
- Participate in testing and documentation to reinforce DevOps and product principles
- Stay curious: explore and adopt modern tools such as Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow, and more
- Bring clarity, challenge assumptions, and contribute to a "no-nonsense", product-oriented mindset
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Proficient with SQL Server
- Solid experience with Azure Databricks and related services
- Strong Python skills in a data context
- Comfortable with Power BI for data visualization
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Fluent in English (mandatory); German, Dutch or French are a plus
- A continuous improvement mindset and an iterative, analytical approach to problem-solving
- Customer-focused, agile thinker who thrives in a flat, collaborative, cross-team environment
- Open to challenge and being challenged—with humility, logic, and respect
Work setup
- Hybrid model: 2 days/week in Brussels, 3 days/week remote (post-onboarding)
- Occasional travel to Berlin may be required
