ABAKUS IT-Solutions - Database Administrator

Position context

 

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join a strategic mission in Braine-l'Alleud. You will play a key role in ensuring performance, availability, and continuous improvement of a complex environment that includes databases and Business Intelligence tools.

 

 

Main responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance and implement measures to guarantee high availability of database services
  • Define backup strategies and ensure valid recovery plans are in place and maintained
  • Design and execute an upgrade strategy to keep the database environment up to date
  • Manage, upgrade, and patch the BI stack (Oracle Analytics, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, OBIEE, ODI, OAS)
  • Select and deploy appropriate DB infrastructure configurations supporting business and technology architectures
  • Perform installations, reconfigurations, and backups on on-premises and cloud environments
  • Develop and configure tools to automate database administration tasks
  • Manage the software lifecycle (roadmap) of database products
  • Monitor performance statistics and generate reports

 

Profile requirements

  • Strong expertise in DBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL Server, PostgreSQL) with solid experience in at least two of them
  • Good understanding of MySQL High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (Innodb Cluster, Replicaset, Clusterset, Replication)
  • Knowledge of Ords, Apache HTTP, and Tomcat administration
  • In-depth experience with Linux/Unix and MS Windows Server operating systems
  • Strong understanding of advanced High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures (clustering, virtual infrastructures)
  • Ability to keep up with technological evolutions and propose adapted solutions

Practical Information : Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
