We are looking for an experienced IT Developer - Expert to join a dynamic and cross-functional team working in the heart of Brussels. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-impact projects within a collaborative and agile environment.
Mission Context
You will be part of the IT Transversal Capabilities & Functions team, which is responsible for developing and supporting the foundations of banking applications. These foundations include:
- Frameworks (Java, .NET, etc.)
- Content management systems (OpenText, Adobe, etc.)
- API gateways and integration layers between front-end and legacy systems
The squad you will join specifically handles document generation and distribution for both internal and external customers.
Your Role
As an Expert Java Developer, you will:
- Lead and organize functional analysis for new and existing features
- Develop and enhance solutions for document generation and distribution
- Collaborate closely with lead developers, consultants, and integrators
- Write analysis reports and user guides
- Provide advice and support on document generation topics
- Actively participate in testing phases and continuous improvements
Your Profile
Required Experience & Knowledge
- At least 6 years of professional experience as a Java engineer in an agile environment
- Strong expertise in Java/Spring, OO design, REST, SOA, and testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
- Experience working with cloud environments
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery and DevOps practices
- Understanding of Operating Systems (Unix, Windows) and middleware configuration
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver clean, maintainable code
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Scrum
- Previous exposure to the banking/financial sector
- Familiarity with service management tools and CI/CD pipelines
