We are looking for an experienced Functional Architect with strong expertise in data platforms and cloud environments for a long-term assignment within a major financial institution.
Mission context
The Functional Architect is responsible for ensuring the consistency and sustainability of IT solutions in line with the company's strategy, internal constraints (cost, risk, deadlines...), and architectural best practices.
The assignment is part of a Data Hub Tribe, focusing on
- Migrating applications from local data centers to a private cloud
- Designing technical solutions for new projects
- Contributing to a new data strategy and enterprise architecture targets
Key responsibilities
- Design and document solution architectures for new initiatives
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security architects to deliver robust, secure designs
- Participate in impact studies and technical option analysis
- Contribute to the architectural roadmap and target architecture models
- Present architectural files to the internal architecture board for validation
- Work closely with stakeholders including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Analysts, and Tribe Management
Profile
- Education & experience
- Higher education in IT or equivalent through experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect
- Strong experience in data environments (metadata, lineage, Virtualization...)
- Knowledge of risk, compliance, and resilience constraints is a plus
- Technical skills
- Solution and application architecture design
- Architecture modelling tools and frameworks
- Experience in application migration (e.g., between data centers or to the cloud)
- Cloud experience with any provider is valued
- Languages
- Fluent English (mandatory - working language)
- Good command of French or Dutch
