About the role
As an IT Infrastructure (Solution) Architect, you will serve as the single point of contact between the server team, IT departments, and business stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be the technical intake and architectural design of new infrastructure requests. You will collaborate closely with domain experts to propose solutions that meet high standards for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the technical intake of new project requests and translate them into viable infrastructure solutions
- Design and propose hosting strategies (cloud/On-Prem, including Azure) that align with technical standards and business goals
- Collaborate with IT experts to ensure architectural consistency, data security, and availability
- Support ongoing projects as the infrastructure lead within multidisciplinary teams
- Follow up on environments with specific regulatory or operational requirements
- Advise operations teams on key technical decisions
- Compare business needs with internal IT standards and recommend adjustments when necessary
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their relevance for future projects
Profile requirements
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience as an infrastructure or Solution Architect (references required)
- Strong knowledge of core infrastructure services: Active Directory, databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MongoDB), Storage, Virtualization (ESX), Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Azure, RabbitMQ, Redis, Citrix, containers, and networking fundamentals
- Fluent oral communication in Dutch and French (at least one as native); solid English skills required; German is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science, System Integration, or equivalent education
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Security-conscious with sound practical judgment
- Confident in presenting solutions and influencing stakeholders
- Able to work independently and eager to keep up with new technologies
- Customer-focused and team-oriented attitude
- Must possess a valid driver's license, own a car, and have a mobile phone
