At ABAKUS IT-Solutions we are looking for a Senior Windows Engineer with strong expertise in digital collaboration and end-user device management. You'll join a fast-paced, international IT environment where you'll play a key role in driving systems development, integration, and support of managed workstations across a large-scale infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering position with both technical depth and strategic responsibilities.
Your responsibilities
- Act as a subject-matter expert for managed client devices (Windows, MacOS, iOS) across their full lifecycle.
- Diagnose and resolve complex Hardware/software issues, working closely with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.
- Define and manage technical requirements, including roadmaps for future development.
- Lead the planning and coordination of upgrades, patches, and service interruptions, including with remote teams.
- Drive systems integration and testing efforts, including system builds and environment configuration.
- Design and maintain system documentation and change records.
- Coordinate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless device management.
- Provide Level 2/3 support and emergency on-site assistance when required.
- Conduct root cause analysis and proactively implement improvements to prevent incidents.
- Ensure 24/7 system reliability through effective monitoring policies and tools.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- OR at least 6 years of progressive professional experience in the absence of a degree.
- Strong experience in large-scale Windows Server and Windows client OS management (10,000+ endpoints).
- Proven experience with Microsoft ecosystem tools: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, MECM/SCCM.
- Experience with Intune, O365 administration, Teams, Exchange Online.
- Deep understanding of security practices: PKI, data protection, least privilege, 2FA, AAA.
- Practical experience in system integration, operation, maintenance, and configuration.
- Experience in supervising technical staff and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
- Must be eligible for or already hold an active NATO-Secret security clearance.
