Mission description
We are seeking a Functional Analyst to support strategic IT initiatives within the fund distribution and asset management ecosystem. The consultant will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into functional solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the interface and coordinator between business teams and IT departments.
- Understand business challenges and analyze needs to deliver detailed functional solutions.
- Lead the implementation of IT projects that enhance platform capabilities and user experience.
- Draft functional specifications, process flows, and test scenarios.
- Support system implementation, testing phases, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Technical & functional scope:
- Deep understanding of:
- Investment funds, fee structures, and financial systems supporting fund operations
- Calculation of trail commissions, revenue-sharing models, and fund fee structures
- Fund distribution platforms, transfer agents, and order routing systems
- Financial regulations (MiFID II, UCITS, AIFMD) and their impact on fee processing
- Proficiency with functional analysis tools:
- Jira, Confluence
- BPMN, UML
- SQL, Excel, Power BI
Pre-requisites
- Experience with fund platforms (e.g., Allfunds, Mflex, Clearstream)
- Familiarity with fund data providers (e.g., Morningstar, Bloomberg, FE Fundinfo)
- Knowledge of automated trail commission calculation tools and reconciliation processes
- Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or IT frameworks (ITIL, Agile, Scrum)
- Proven functional expertise in fund distribution, asset management, or financial services
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, Sales, operations)
