We are currently looking for a AI/ML Engineer to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.
The project operates within a European financial institution, necessitating adherence to strict regulatory and compliance standards.
The role is part of a collaborative team comprising senior data scientists and software developers, enabling knowledge sharing and support.

Responsibilities
- Data science & modelling:
- Collect, clean, and prepare data necessary for projects, ensuring high-quality inputs for analysis.
- Perform feature engineering, exploratory analysis, model development, and testing.
- Train, validate, and document predictive models to ensure reproducibility and explainability.
- Maintain datasets, modelling artefacts, KPIs, and detailed experiment records for ongoing projects.
- Data engineering & integration:
- Design and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines to support ongoing projects.
- Integrate all pipelines with the institution's Data Warehouse and Denodo, aligned with architectural guidelines.
- Ensure data quality, metadata completeness, and compliance with governance standards.
- DevOps / MLOps definition & implementation:
- Contribute to defining and implementing the operating model for DevOps/MLOps, factoring in group-specific constraints and security requirements.
- Pilot CI/CD and MLOps practices across development (DEV), testing (TST), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production (PRD) environments.
- Coordinate cross-application releases with upstream and downstream systems, ensuring seamless integration.
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, governance patterns, and the Azure Landing Zone.
- Operations & reporting:
- Support the daily operational execution of data pipelines, models, and services across various environments.
- Provide structured reporting and effective stakeholder communication, documenting processes and methodologies.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and operational handover through detailed documentation and organized sessions.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the role.
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and Scala.
- Solid experience with data science and Machine Learning libraries, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
- Extensive experience working with SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Familiarity with data ingestion and transformation pipelines and integration with enterprise platforms (e.g., data warehouses, Denodo).
- Experience or exposure to DevOps/MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and Azure cloud services is advantageous.
- Languages:
- English is mandatory, with a proficiency level of at least B2.
- Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not essential.
