We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join an international team and play a key role in designing and implementing modern and scalable data platforms. You will drive the transformation of a large legacy system into a robust and future-oriented architecture, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and advanced Business Intelligence solutions (Data Lakes / Data Lakehouses).
- Define and implement cloud, on-premises, or hybrid architectures tailored to strategic needs.
- Build a scalable, modern data platform to progressively replace legacy systems.
- Align architectural decisions with data governance policies and cloud transformation strategies.
- Establish best practices, standards, rules, review processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Implement data quality, auditing, and monitoring processes.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor for Data Analysts and Data Engineers.
- Support change management and guide users throughout the migration process.
- Document and maintain data architectures and assets.
- Contribute to testing, deployment, and configuration activities.
- Collaborate with other project teams in cross-functional environments.
Profile
- Proven experience in migrating legacy data systems to modern platforms.
- Strong expertise in designing scalable and flexible data architectures and BI solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, API integration, data ingestion and transformation tools (dbt, Spark, Talend, Fabric, SAP DS).
- Proficiency with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools (DataHub, Open Metadata, Atlas, Collibra).
- Strong understanding of data security, quality management, access control, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience applying DevOps practices to data pipelines, including CI/CD for data infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and take part in multilingual meetings.
- Fluency in English and French (spoken and written).
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with a structured and methodical approach.
- Ability to produce clear, well-structured technical documentation.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive applications.
