Deutsche Börse Group - Linux System Administrator

The Ptit Operations & Governance department is mainly responsible for the provisioning of monitoring and support services to the Core IT Operations applications. The PaaS OS & VM unit team ensures the management of Servers and Third Party Software Infrastructure (in particular Linux operating systems, VMware and Cloud environments, UC4 and central monitoring tool activities); the management of the Data Infrastructure across Oracle databases, the management of the Connectivity to SWIFT and via MQ and the infrastructure process support (Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Asset Management, etc.)

The purpose of the Systems Administration job is to implement, integrate and maintain Hardware and software ensuring quality cost-effective services and to provide effective and efficient problem resolution in order to achieve the highest levels of availability, reliability and performance.

 

 

Your responsibilities

  • RedHat Linux Operating System installation and maintenance (patches, tuning, etc.)
  • VMware, GCP and Azure Cloud virtual systems installation, maintenance and support
  • Third party software installation and maintenance
  • Hardware installation
  • Inventory management (Hardware and software)
  • Analyse system problems and resolution
  • Test new Hardware and software
  • Automation, Infrastructure as code.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation
  • Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Integrate processes in Jira workflow.
  • Raise and follow-up calls with providers whenever required
  • Comply with audit and security requirements
  • Operation includes on-call duty distributed among the team (an average of 1-2 shifts incl. on-call duty per 6 weeks expected)

 

Your profile

  • University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent through business experience)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience in RHEL, RedHat Satellite, Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet(Enterprise), GIT, TerraForm, Cloud landscape, IBM Cloudpak. (not all required)
  • Technical skills are essential to the position and will be validated through a technical interview.
