We are hiring for our client, a leading Life Insurance company in Luxembourg, an experienced Development Team Lead / Technical Lead to lead and coordinate a development team while remaining hands-on in software development activities.

 

📌 Job Summary

Lead and coordinate the development team while contributing to software development activities.

Oversee technical delivery for internal information system refactoring and maintenance projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, bridging business needs with technical implementation, and supporting the continuous development of the team's skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and coach developers; organize daily meetings, retrospectives, and code reviews.
  • Coordinate development activities with Product Owners and Scrum Masters; plan and prioritize tasks, track progress, manage resources, and escalate risks when needed.
  • Ensure delivery timelines, code quality, and technical standards; represent the team in project steering committees.
  • Define and enforce development standards and best practices; oversee code reviews, automated testing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to analysis workshops, specifications, and effort estimates; propose technical solutions aligned with business needs and facilitate communication between business teams, project managers, and developers.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in Life Insurance in Luxembourg, including regulatory, application, and organizational aspects.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading development teams.
  • Proficiency in C# and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevSecOps, Clean Code, SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, Git, continuous integration, and application security principles.
  • Familiarity with Jira, GitLab, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
