Position: Junior On-shift IT Operator
Location: Luxembourg
Duration: 6 months (flexible shifts)
Languages: English required
Role Overview:
Join the infrastructure team within Production & Infrastructure Services as a Junior On-shift IT Operator. You will handle the day-to-day management, administration, and troubleshooting of multiple IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and application support
- Automate IT administrative tasks
- Deploy software to test and production environments
- Manage incidents and resolve problems
- Provision and maintain test environments
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Understanding of databases (Oracle, MS-SQL) and operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Scripting skills (Unix Shell, Perl)
- Basic administration of application servers (WebSphere, MQSeries)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
- Flexibility for shift work, including weekends
Experience:
1-2 years preferred, but beginners with relevant IT experience through study or personal projects will be considered.
Shift Pattern (21/5):
- Early: 06:00-14:30
- Late: 10:00-18:30
- Night: 18:30-03:00
