We are looking for an LLM Solutions Engineer to design, develop and deploy application prototypes based on Large Language Models. The role involves building end-to-end LLM workflows, integrating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), ensuring secure cloud deployment, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
Near-site position requiring ability to reach Luxembourg premises within approximately 2 hours.
Occasional on-site presence required for meetings.
Responsibilities
- Design the logic, workflow, and architecture of LLM-based application prototypes for various use cases involving multimodal inputs and text-generation outputs.
- Develop and maintain prototypes using proprietary LLMs (Azure OpenAI) or locally hosted models (HuggingFace).
- Build and maintain vector databases for RAG, including embeddings, vectorisation, chunking, semantic similarity, ranking, and retrieval workflows.
- Implement and maintain end-to-end cloud deployments, particularly in Azure.
- Ensure implementation of security and data protection best practices.
- Perform testing, debugging, and optimisation of prototypes.
- Deliver clear, structured technical documentation.
- Conduct technology watch on LLMs, cloud technologies, and new frameworks.
- Participate in project coordination, operational meetings, and occasional user meetings.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an international environment.
- Understand user needs and ensure solutions meet both technical and functional expectations.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong knowledge of Large Language Models and LLM-based application architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Good knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and web application design.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI (Amazon Bedrock is an asset).
- Experience with vector stores/databases and embedding techniques for RAG.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar LLM frameworks is an asset.
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, Git, and software architecture best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot efficiently in rapidly evolving cloud and distributed system environments.
- Relevant technical certifications (cloud, development, AI/LLM, security) are considered an asset.
