The Luxembourg National Research Fund, FNR, is recruiting a Digital Systems and Process Officer to support the further digitalisation of its research funding activities and internal processes.
The FNR is investing in digital tools, grant management systems, data quality, AI-assisted tools, and more efficient processes to better support applicants, reviewers, beneficiaries, and staff. This role will contribute directly to this effort by helping maintain, improve, and develop the digital systems and workflows used across the organisation.
The role suits a practical, service-oriented person with experience in IT support, digital tools, process improvement, system administration, project support, or a similar operational environment.
The Digital Systems and Process Officer will support the daily operations and continuous improvement of FNR's digital environment.
The role combines user support, system and workflow improvement, documentation, testing and project support. It requires curiosity, structure, attention to detail, and the ability to work both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Your responsibilities

Support the administration, maintenance, testing, and improvement of the FNR Systems and related digital tools.

Help configure, improve, and automate digital workflows, online forms, templates, and user interfaces across the organisation's core processes.

Provide functional and technical support to FNR staff, applicants, reviewers, beneficiaries, and external partners.

Analyse user needs and translate them into clear tasks, specifications, improvement proposals, or support actions.

Prepare and maintain user guides, FAQs, internal documentation, training material, and support procedures.

Support data extraction, data quality checks, reporting, and basic analysis.

Leverage Microsoft 365 tools — including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook — to support and drive digitalisation, automation, and process improvement across the organisation.

Actively follow developments in AI-assisted and emerging digital tools, identify practical opportunities to apply them responsibly within FNR processes, and help colleagues understand and adopt them where they add value.
Your profile
You have:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT, business informatics, information management, digital transformation, data management, business administration with a strong digital component, or a related field.

Alternatively, solid professional experience in IT support, digital tool administration, project support, process management, system configuration, user support, or administrative technology support.

Good analytical and organisational skills and, a structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style.

Curiosity and interest in AI, digital innovation, and the practical use of emerging tools in an organisational context.

The ability to understand user needs and explain technical topics in a clear and practical way.

Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Some hands-on experience with, or demonstrable knowledge of, workflow tools, databases, reporting tools, or automation.

The ability to work independently after guidance, while also being comfortable working as part of a team.

Fluency in English. Knowledge of French and/or German is an advantage. Luxembourgish is considered a plus.

An interest in research and innovation, science policy or public administration.
