We are looking for a high-level individual contributor who can take full ownership of existing complex frontend architectures while simultaneously architecting and building new user interfaces from the ground up for upcoming projects. If you are a React expert who thrives in structured, enterprise environments and enjoys the balance of maintenance and greenfield development, this role offers a significant opportunity to influence the Bank's financial toolset.
Missions
-
Application Ownership & Evolution: Lead the frontend maintenance and optimization of CapMark and CALMs, ensuring these sophisticated applications remain high-performing and stable during and after their transition to the Finance Division.
-
Greenfield UI Development: Take full responsibility for the end-to-end development of new user interfaces for two additional applications where screens do not yet exist, translating functional requirements into modern, scalable React components.
-
Technical Excellence: Translate complex business logic into high-performance technical solutions using React (Functional Components, Hooks, Context API) and ESNext.
-
Engineering Standards: Drive code quality through rigorous peer reviews, ensuring all development meets modern standards for security, maintainability, and documentation.
-
Design System Integration: Implement and extend the Bank's central design system to ensure visual consistency and WCAG-compliant accessibility across the suite.
-
CI/CD & Lifecycle Management: Manage the full application lifecycle, including builds, deployments, and source control within an Azure DevOps environment using Vite.
Profile
-
Professional Experience: Significant background in frontend engineering, ideally within a structured institutional or enterprise environment.
-
Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in the React ecosystem and deep knowledge of modern JavaScript. Experience with Jest and React Testing Library for robust unit/integration testing is essential.
-
Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and make senior-level architectural decisions without constant supervision.
-
Architectural Mindset: Familiarity with scalable frontend architecture and the ability to consume or extend shared component libraries effectively.
-
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical trade-offs to Tech Leads, Business Analysts, and non-technical stakeholders.
-
Education: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience at a senior level.
