NSI - IT Technical Support Officer

We are looking for an IT Technical Support Officer, fluent in English:

 

 

Your main responsibilities

  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution;
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications and upgrading systems;
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving Hardware or software faults, including printers, replacing parts as required;
  • Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician;
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
  • To execute daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all Hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, and sent off site as necessary;
  • Verifying completion of scheduled jobs 

 

Your profile

  • You have at least 2 years IT experience with understanding of IT infrastructure, theories, principles, and practices
  • You are fluent in English and Mandarin. Any other language is an asset
  • You are able to work independently in a high-pressure environment;
  • You have knowledge of Active Directory administration
  • You have knowledge of System and Data backups - including tape based backup methods
  • You have basic knowledge of Networking and Network Systems
  • You have experience with email management and systems - IBM Lotus Domino
