Policy Analyst – Emerging & Quantum Technologies

We are currently looking for a Policy Analyst - Emerging & Quantum Technologies to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, structure and document stakeholder consultations (QuIC, Member States, industry and other actors).
  • Analyse public and targeted consultation results and extract clear, policy-relevant findings.
  • Support the coordination and synthesis of the different quantum technology roadmap exercises.
  • Map and analyse quantum supply chains, in close cooperation with JRC, Chips JU and QuIC.
  • Provide analytical and drafting input to the Impact Assessment
  • Support briefing and policy-preparation tasks across interservice processes and RSB milestones.

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of EU digital and industrial policies, with a strong interest in advanced technologies
  • Ability to rapidly acquire working knowledge of quantum technologies and their applications
  • Experience in technology and innovation ecosystem analysis, including industrial supply chain mapping
  • Skilled in quantitative and qualitative data analysis (survey results, interviews, written submissions)
  • Proven track record in preparing high-quality policy and analytical documents (roadmaps, staff working documents, policy briefs, impact assessments)
  • Ability to deliver clear presentations to mixed audiences, including senior management and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in standard office and collaboration tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams); experience with survey and basic data analysis tools is an asset

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (EQF Level 6)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in policy analysis, industrial/technology policy, or related fields, preferably at EU or international level
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing or analyzing stakeholder consultations (public and/or targeted) for policy development or impact assessments
  • English C1 minimum
  • French is a plus
