Role overview :
The client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic projects in data management and cloud computing, with strong technical exposure and the potential to grow into a hybrid role combining project delivery and business development. This position requires both operational involvement and the ability to manage client relationships at a strategic level.
Key responsibilities
- Manage large-scale projects in data services, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance data processing.
- Coordinate technical teams to deliver solutions involving Kubernetes orchestration, AI-driven processing, real-time streaming, and object storage.
- Actively contributes to project operations (billable work is a core expectation).
- Ensure client satisfaction and support commercial growth.
- Progress toward a role with market responsibility, combining technical expertise and commercial engagement.
Technical expertise required
- Data management: understanding of data formats (JSON, Parquet, GeoTIFF), object storage, and governance principles.
- Cloud technologies: private/public cloud environments, Kubernetes orchestration, real-time workflows.
- High-performance processing: CPU/GPU computing, AI algorithms, streaming and on-demand processing.
- Geospatial knowledge: basic understanding is a plus (training can be provided)
- Performance & scalability: ability to optimise architectures for large-scale data workloads.
Profile
- Master's degree or engineering background.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in managing technical projects in data/cloud environments.
- PMI certification preferred MBA is a plus after initial experience.
- Fluent in English + French or German (mandatory)
