We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead critical digital transformation initiatives for one of our key clients in the EU public sector. You will be responsible for delivering complex ICT projects involving software integration, infrastructure deployment, and cloud services, in a high-stakes, regulated environment.
Your role
- Manage and be accountable for multiple end-to-end ICT projects, including cloud implementations, COTS software integration, and infrastructure deployment, in line with Europol's governance and project management methodology.
- Maintain and regularly update project documentation such as GANTT charts, plans, and status reports using MS Project and internal tools.
- Act as the key interface between internal stakeholders (business and ICT) and external service providers.
- Ensure projects remain within scope, time, and budget, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Chair project governance boards, facilitate CheckPoint meetings, and communicate status updates to ICT management and other stakeholders.
- Support the Programme Manager (Stream Leader) in all dimensions of project coordination.
- Supervise external suppliers and ensure contract adherence and timely deliverables.
- Contribute to planning activities, including cost/resource estimation for future project cycles.
Your profile
- At least 9 years of hands-on project management experience.
- Proven track record managing at least 5 end-to-end projects, including:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an international or public sector environment
- Strong experience with project management tools, particularly MS Project
- Excellent command of English (minimum B2 level, written and spoken)
- Familiarity with highly regulated and secure environments (public or governmental bodies)
- Familiarity with public procurement, especially EU tendering processes
- Strong knowledge of:
- Project planning and estimation techniques
- MS Office tools, especially PowerPoint for visual reporting
- Cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS; Azure, AWS, GCP)
Mandatory Certification (at least one of the following)
- Prince2 Practitioner
- PMI PMP
- PM² Certified (EU PM standard)
