We are currently looking for a “Project Manager” to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.
Description Of The Tasks
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
- Conduct costs/benefit analysis.
- Conduct As-is and To-be situation analysis and gap analysis.
- Prepare and moderate meetings with different level of stakeholders
- Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
- Conduct research to find ways to improve processes in the organization
- Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and using the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
- Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk.
- Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings.
- Coordinate the Epmo function and provide effective leadership to analysts or architects under his/her coordination
- Coordinate and contribute to briefing production in the digital transformation area.
- Coordinate contributions to corporate requests in the EA and Epmo area.
- Contribute to the delivery of Digital Transformation strategy for DG Grow
- Contribute to the Drpm (Digital-Ready Policy Making) processes of Grow.B3
- Contribute to the application of the principles of the new EC Digital Strategy in DG Grow
- Support the rationalization of IT systems.
- Support management of corporate governance processes.
- Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed terms of reference
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports
Knowledge AND Skills
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
- Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies (Project Scheduling, Strategic Planning, Financial Modelling, Budgeting, Forecasting, Performance Tracking).
- Good knowledge of Agile methodology, Scrum Management, Lean agile
- Meeting Facilitationgood technical knowledge on the project's aspects.
- Practical knowledge of reporting methods.
- Good knowledge of project management tools e.g., MS Project, Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to give business and technical presentations Ability to apply high quality standards Leadership capability.
- Negotiation capability.
- Ability to adapt to unplanned changes or decisions.
Due to the nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings & work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects.
- Excellent Team Player.
- Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1/C2) be an advantage.
- High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in DG Grow B3 contain personal and confidential data.
Specific Expertise
Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
- at least 10 years of specific expertise project management of IT projects
- at least 10 years of specific expertise in Business Process Analysis.
- at least 10 years of specific expertise with project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMI, PM2...)
- at least 3 years of specific expertise in RUP or Agile
- at least 2 years of specific expertise on project on-boarding
- at least 5 years of specific expertise with MS-Project
Certifications & Standards:
Following certificates & standards are an asset for the performance of tasks:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Prince2 Foundation/Prince2 Practitioner
- Certified in PM2
Level of education:
- Bachelor's degree of 3 years
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solution
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment
