Your responsibilities
As part of our client's various IT projects to lead the migration of their infrastructure monitoring system. We are looking for a consultant able to decommission the legacy's client lcinga setup and transition entirely to Zabbix. The core requirement of this project is full automation : the client want a « Monitoring-as-Code » approach where manuel configuration is eliminated in favor of automated discorery and deployment.
Audit & Strategy : Analyze the existing Icinga environment (hosts, services, custom scripts and dependencies) to define the Zabbix architecture.
Zabbix Deployment : Design and deploy a scalable, high-availabitily Zabbix infrastructure (including Proxies for distributed monitoring).
Migration Execution : Migrate all current monitoring checks from Icinga to Zabbix while ensuring parity of service.
Automation & Integration : Automate host registration and template assignment using the Zabbix API.
Integrate Zabbix with our CI/CD pipelines and CMDB.
Use configuration management tools (Ansible/Terraform) to deploy Zabbix agents an configurations.
Dashboards & Reporting : Create intuitive Grafana dashboards and configure advanced alerting logic (trigger dependencies, escalation patterns)
Documentation : Provide technical documentation and a knowledge transfer session for the internal Ops team.
Your profile
- 5 years of relevant experience in System Engineer
- Fluent in French and good level in English
- Technologies used : Ansible, GIT, monitoring, Zabbix...
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated with a reliable and resilient work approach
- Service orientation and client-focused mindset
- Organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
