We are looking for a highly motivated Server Support Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, including servers, Storage systems, and Virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux and Windows environments, Virtualization technologies, Storage provisioning, and IT security practices, as well as solid experience in data center operations.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Administer Hardware servers, Storage systems (Dell/EMC), and hypervisors (Proxmox, Hyper-V, VMware), including OS installation, updates, and patching.
  • Provision virtual machines running Linux (Debian) and Windows Server, including Storage allocation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain application frameworks and software solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues; implement effective solutions.
  • Analyze business processes and propose IT solutions aligned with infrastructure capabilities.
  • Manage Active Directory objects and implement Group Policies for servers.
  • Administer SQL servers and databases (MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL; Oracle experience is a plus).
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk to address user inquiries.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and demonstrate adaptability.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in a similar role).
  • Proven experience in server and Storage management, Virtualization platforms, and hypervisors.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting, Active Directory, patch management (Linux & Windows), and IT security tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking and Firewall concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required. French or Italian is a strong asset.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, continuous-learning attitude.
