We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the maintenance and enhancement of an enterprise-grade Integration Platform, including both on-premises and cloud-based Confluent Kafka environments.
Your responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy Kafka clusters to manage real-time, high-throughput data streams
- Monitor and optimize Kafka infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Kafka operation, ingestion, and processing
- Ensure compliance with best practices in data governance, access control, and platform management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust end-to-end data pipelines
- Stay current with Kafka technology developments and suggest improvements
Technical environment:
- Kafka (Confluent Cloud and On-Prem)
- Linux systems administration
- Infrastructure as Code: TerraForm, Ansible
- DevOps tools: GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, Nexus, Splunk
- Programming/Scripting: Java, Bash, Python, PowerShell
Your profile
- Strong experience deploying and managing Kafka in production environments
- Deep understanding of Kafka architecture: brokers, partitions, replication, Zookeeper/Kraft
- Practical knowledge of Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and stream processing patterns
- Demonstrated expertise in building and integrating real-time data pipelines
- Proficiency in Java and automation scripting languages
- Familiarity with high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies
- Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments
- Self-driven with a strong commitment to continuous learning
Evaluation criteria
Selection will be based on demonstrated experience in:
- Kafka administration and tuning (on-premises and cloud)
- End-to-end data pipeline design
- Confluent platform use and integration
- DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Java and scripting for automation
