Position Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Support to join the Core banking sytem packaging team of our client.
You will contribute to the stability and reliability of test environments related to the Core Banking Application and its associated processes.
Your role is about sofware maintenance; integration, testing, support, and minor development activities and assisting in packaging operations and support the migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the packaging team on the transition to RHEL8.
- Ensure test environments for core banking applications)are functioning optimally and without disruption.
- Diagnose and resolve packaging/deployement -related issues, applying fixes as necessary.
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Ansible to enhance system processes.
- Work closely with various teams, including engineering and production, to drive enhancements and resolve technical challenges.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in shell scripting (bash, ksh, cmd) on both RHEL and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with Java programming.
- Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; knowledge of Database as a Service (DBaaS) is a plus.
- Understanding of test automation principles.
- Basic understanding of SaaS and Cloud technologies.
- Proficient in using GitLab for version control and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with Ansible for automation tasks.
Banking Knowledge:
- A foundational understanding of banking operations and principles.
Language Requirements:
- Proficient in English; additional languages may be a plus (German or French)
