We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Operations Engineer to join a high-performing team driving excellence in data operations and governance. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of data pipelines, workflows, and governance systems — supporting efficient, high-quality data management across the organization.
Your Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Operations
- Manage and maintain Linux-based data pipelines to ensure reliable and accurate data flows.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for data processing, transformation, and automation.
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize workflows and enhance data quality.
Job Scheduling & Release Management
- Create, schedule, and manage jobs in Control-M to ensure timely data delivery.
- Coordinate with planning teams to execute releases with minimal operational disruption.
- Monitor and troubleshoot job executions, analyzing logs to maintain data integrity.
Incident Management
- Identify and resolve data-related incidents promptly to minimize operational impact.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Document incidents and resolutions to continuously improve processes.
Data Management & Quality
- Manage databases, execute queries, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Work closely with analysts and engineers to enhance data governance and quality.
- Design and maintain data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Operations, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Linux system administration, scripting, and data management.
- Proven experience in job scheduling (Control-M preferred) and release management.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Ab Initio development and data governance principles.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
- Familiarity with mainframe systems for data transfer and integration.
- Experience in the banking sector is a plus.

Languages
- English: Fluent (mandatory)
