Your day to day
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Monitoring system performance and identifying issues proactively
- Ensuring data integrity, availability, and backup/recovery procedures
- Implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive information
- Optimizing queries and database structures to improve efficiency
- Collaborating with developers and IT teams to support data-related needs
- Managing user access and roles
- Participating in database migrations, upgrades, and patches
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with one or more major database systems
- Familiarity with database design, performance tuning, and backup strategies
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of data security best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills in English; French or another language is a plus
