Alter Domus - IT Finance Controller



We are looking for a qualified IT Finance Controller, who supports our Chief Technology Officer in managing the IT financials in alignment to our dynamic growth and global expansion. The candidate will also work closely with our global IT Senior management team, and will be the operational link between the Finance and the IT function. In the IT Finance Controller role, your main responsibilities will include:


Perform accounting:

  • Project level accounting;
  • Budget analysis - actual vs. budget at a project level, reconciliation of variations against budget by project, supplier;
  • Budgeting - work alongside the CIO/CTO to identify project scope, outcomes, milestones and to discretely identify the cost elements, assumptions and timing for expenditure against the project milestones/deliverables; identify and plan non-project related/BAU expenditures for budgeting;
  • Overhead control - Establishing FTE baseline, Allocation of FTE's to Project vs. non-project work;
  • Facilitating input into annual budget cycle; quarterly and monthly reporting to Group Executive Board and Supervisory Board

Ensure cost control:

  • Establishment of contract database in alignment with IT vendor manager;
  • Provide support on RFP/contracting - project costing and cost variation analysis;
  • Financial QA / diligence of third party suppliers;
  • Payment log - programme control of budgeted payments;
  • Review of invoices/validation of payments with project leads; allocation to GL accounts & project WBSE

Drive insights from business analytics:

  • Monthly/weekly reporting of actuals against budget;
  • Milestone reporting



  • You are a qualified accountant, and have at least 3 years of experience in areas related to cost controlling or finance controlling
  • You have a basic IT domain understanding, which enables you translate IT team input into the financial view, and vice versa
  • You can rely on your advanced skills in Excel, SAP and Tableau
  • You are consultative, but also willing to challenge
  • You possess excellent written and oral skills in both English and French
