Banque Havilland - IT Network & Security Administrator

We are currently looking for an IT Network and Security Administrator to join our bank.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to hardware and software security problems
  • Evaluate network performance including availability, utilization and latency
  • Install, configures and maintain network/security hardware and software
  • Provide level 2 IT Support
  • Participate in IT policies and procedure definition
  • Create, review and update network documentation and diagrams
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Responsible for the reliable operation of all aspects of our clients Local Area Networks
  • Travel to external offices to review their networks (firewall, routers, servers, )
  • Perform regular review of logs to detect possible intrusion attempts
  • Report IT security risks, abnormalities, incidents, tests, controls and remedial actions
  • Stay up-to-date on new cyber security threats and collaborate with CISO on mitigation implementation

 

Minimum profile requirements

  • Prefer advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience;
  • At least 5 years of IT network/security administration;
  • Excellent written and oral communications;
  • Strong and responsive coordination, collaboration and customer service skills;
  • Good organizational and relational skills;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Good knowledge of the following:

             - Switches, router and firewall configuration (Cisco, Ironport, Checkpoint, PaloAlto...)

             - Web Application Firewall

             - Corporate Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam configuration

             - VPNSSL technologies (Juniper)

             - Wireless network implementation and security

             - Knowledge of VMware environment

  • IT System Administrator knowledge (ESX, SAN, VMware,) is considered as an asset;
  • Language skills: fluent in English (written and oral), French is considered as an asset;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Specific skills:

              - Deep network knowledge

              - Network design and implementation

              - Problem solving

              - Strategic planning

              - Multi-tasking

              - Quality focus

              - Coordination

              - Quick study

              - Good communication

 

The salary package offered will be commensurate with your professional expertise and experience. This position is available immediately. At the begining, the candidate will be offered 6 months CDD with a possibility of transformation to CDI. This is a unique and potentially career-defining opportunity for the candidate with the right spirit and experience.
