Econocom PSF is seeking for a Security Operations Engineer to strengthen its operational security capabilities and support both client environments and internal cybersecurity initiatives.

The selected candidate will play a key role in managing and optimizing EndPoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions deployed for our major financial sector clients, while also contributing to the company's internal security operations and continuous improvement projects.

This position combines technical expertise, analytical skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining a high level of information security within regulated IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and fine-tune clients' EDR platform (threat detection, alert management, policy updates, and remediation actions).
• Investigate security alerts and incidents, and coordinate with clients' IT and security teams for resolution.
• Ensure compliance of EDR configurations with clients' security baseline and internal security policies.
• Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and recommendations on EndPoint security posture.
• Support vulnerability management and EndPoint hardening initiatives in collaboration with SOC and IT operations teams.
• Contribute to the company's internal operational security roadmap, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
• Participate in the maintenance and improvement of the company's ISMS (ISO/IEC 27001:2022), NIS2 and DORA-readiness activities.
• Support internal security monitoring, incident response, and threat-hunting initiatives.
• Propose and implement security automation or process improvement initiatives.
• Participate to best practices and technological advancements and act as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time based on the business requirements.
• Actively contribute to the development of the company's cybersecurity offering.

Profile

• Proven experience with EDR solutions.
• Proficient in designing, deploying, and managing Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to secure, monitor, and control privileged accounts and credentials across enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of EndPoint protection, incident response, and vulnerability management processes.
• Familiarity with SIEM/SOC operations, log management, and threat intelligence workflows.
• Awareness of network security concepts (Firewalls, proxies, VPNs, segmentation).
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) are an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills (English and French required).
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Client-oriented mindset and professional conduct in a regulated financial environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant knowledge of information security standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and other IT standards and frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT.
