We are looking for a reliable Unix System Administrator to join our team and support the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructures.
Your Role
- Administering Unix/Linux servers (installation, configuration, patching, and updates).
- Monitoring system health and performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshooting incidents and providing 2nd/3rd level support.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Applying security policies and performing system hardening.
- Maintaining backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Preparing and updating system documentation.
- Collaborating with other IT teams (network, application, database) for smooth operations.
Your Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Languages: Fluent in English (French or Dutch is an asset).
- Minimum 3+ years as a Unix/Linux System Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AIX, or Solaris.
- Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Korn, etc.) for automation.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with backup/recovery solutions and ITIL processes is a plus.
