We are seeking a versatile and experienced Applications Support Technician to join a mission-critical project in a high-security, international environment. This full-time role requires hands-on expertise in software deployment, application support, containerized systems, and IT service management—working at the heart of a fast-paced operations and support team.

 

Please note: Candidates must hold a valid Security Clearance at the "Secret" level.

Job Location :   The Hague , NL                 

 

Key responsibilities

 

Software deployment & configuration

  • Set up and maintain build and deployment pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Manage release/change processes and application configurations
  • Integrate and configure both Windows and Linux-based applications
  • Ensure deployment prerequisites are met and fallback plans are in place

 

Application support & maintenance

  • Monitor and tune performance of operational systems and services
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support, troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools
  • Maintain up-to-date backup and recovery procedures
  • Log and document activities and technical results

 

Additional contributions

  • Collaborate on technical reviews and documentation
  • Deliver consistent, adaptable support across a secure infrastructure

 

What you bring

 

Education & experience

  • Higher vocational training in computer science + 3 years' experience

    OR

  • Secondary education + 5 years' relevant experience

 

Technical skills

  • System administration for Windows & Linux (vSphere, Active Directory)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments
  • Familiarity with deployment pipelines and testing frameworks
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and web-based applications
  • Understanding of DNS, Active Directory access control, interoperability standards
  • IT service management experience
  • Excellent written English for clear technical documentation

 

Desirable experience

  • Experience with Sitaware C2, server clustering, military/defense systems
  • Knowledge of security assurance and military data exchange standards
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft, Linux, cloud platforms)
